2020 Election

2020 will see three elections: the Presidential Nominating Primary (March 3, 2020), the Regular Primary (August 11, 2020) and the General Election (November 3, 2020).

Minnesota has not held a Presidential Nominating Primary since 1992. More information on the Presidential Nominating Primary may be found at the Minnesota Secretary of State’s web site.

Early voting for each election begins 46 days prior to Election Day. You may vote at the Fridley Civic Campus, or request an Absentee Ballot be mailed to your home. More information on absentee voting may be found by visiting our Absentee Ballots page.

For Fridley City Council, the following vacancies will be on the ballot: Mayor and Councilmember-at-Large. Terms for these Council positions are four years beginning January 1, 2020 and ending December 31, 2024. Candidate filing begins May 19 and ends June 2.
