Fridley Municipal Television - Channel 17

Fridley Municipal Television is owned and operated by the City of Fridley.

All operating expenses are paid for by cable franchise fees.

Fridley Municipal Television began operations in 1982. Today, we produce 80 to 120 programs per year. These programs are designed to inform Fridley residents about topics of interest within the City of Fridley, including government meetings, Community Connection, recycling programs, public safety programs, and recreation.

Government meetings covered by the Municipal Channel include City Council, Housing and Redevelopment Authority, and Planning Commission.

City of Fridley programming can also be found online. To watch Fridley Municipal Television live online, visit Fridley.vod.castus.tv/vod and select “Live” then “play.”

City Council and Commission Meetings

City Council meetings are shown live at 7:00 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month. Planning Commission and Housing and Redevelopment Authority meetings are also at 7:00 p.m. monthly.

Meetings playback regularly at various times and days. The latest Council meeting runs every day at 7 a.m., every Monday at 7:00 p.m., every Wednesday at midnight and every Sunday at 10:00 p.m.

Public Access Channel 15

The Fridley Public Access Channel is run by the City of Fridley. To be played on Channel 15, programming must be produced by, or at the request of, a Fridley resident or organization. Programs must be delivered by the Fridley resident associated with the program and their full, legal name must appear in the credits. Programs offering products or services for sale are not allowed. Local non-profits can submit messages for events to be placed on the electronic bulletin board.

The Fridley resident responsible for the program must submit our Statement of Compliance which details the requirements for program submission. A copy of your valid MN state ID or driver's license will be kept on file.
