Winter Park Use
Please note: Commons Park will be closed for park improvements during the 2025-2026 winter season. There will be no warming house, skate rentals or access to the sledding hill during this time. More details about the updates are hosted on the Commons Park webpage.
Winter Park Amenities
Ice Skating
The City of Fridley maintains general skating rinks and hockey rinks in Fridley! Please note, we need ten consecutive days freezing temperatures to create safe and usable ice. Warm weather, freezing rain, and even snow can slow the process down, but we do our best to get the rinks ready as soon as possible.
General Rinks
General skating rinks are general use, smaller in size, and don't have hockey rink boards.
Hockey Rinks
Hockey rinks are regulation size and include hockey rink boards.

Cross Country Skiing and Multi-Use Trails
Enjoy groomed trails in our parks! Trails are groomed to include a three-foot section for cross country skiing and a three-foot section for multi-use.
The multi-use trails can be used for a variety of activities including walking, fat tire biking and snowshoeing. Trails are located at:
- Moore Lake Park
- Flanery Park
- Meadowlands Park
- Riverview Heights Park
Please note: We do our best to groom the trails weekly depending on snow depths and conditions.
