The Ryan Picone Quartet is led by guitarist and composer Dr. Ryan Anthony Picone. A devoted acolyte of the celebrated guitarist Stéphane Wrembel, Ryan’s music is deeply connected to the foundational spirit of Django Reinhardt, yet it draws influence from Choro, Nuevo Tango, Raga, Flamenco, Maqam, Cuban son montuno to, Post-Minimalist, and Classical traditions. Each of these is woven seamlessly into the fabric of the quartet’s musical identity.
