Election Judges

We need you! Election Judges are a crucial piece to a successful Election Day. Anyone aged 18 and older can apply to become an Election Judge. Staff will provide all the training that you will need. This is a wonderful way to serve and give back to your community while also getting paid for your time. Election Judges make $14 per hour.

Here’s what a few veteran judges have to say about working as an election judge in Fridley and what keeps them coming back:

“Working with the other judges and the willingness to be a team helps make the voting process run smoothly. The head judge at my precinct makes a fun work environment for the day. The staff at City Hall are always available if you have any questions regarding being an Election Judge.” – Bee, Technology Judge

“I love feeling like I’m part of a very important process to exercise our rights to vote, our biggest voice we have.” ‐ Jodi, Head Judge

“I think it is important that people feel confident that their voting system is trustworthy, impartial and accurate. As an Election Judge, I can ensure that every citizen entering the polling place has an opportunity to cast a vote for the candidate(s) of their choice regardless of political affiliation and if required, assist those with special needs.” ‐ John, Election Judge

“I like being able to participate in the democratic process at a local level, serving as a friendly face to my neighbors and community members alike. As a retiree it keeps me connected locally and feeling relevant as a senior member of my community!” ‐ Anna, Election Judge
