Looking for volunteer hours, trying to connect in your community or interested in helping our naturalists? Check out the many volunteer opportunities at Springbrook.

Buckthorn:

Help tend Springbrook’s forests and learn how to identify and remove the invasive European buckthorn. Springbrook will provide work gloves and loppers.

Bluebird Boxes:

Springbrook has introduced Eastern Bluebird nest boxes to our trails. Help our naturalists maintain and collect data about our migrating bird friends.

Project Feederwatch:

Interested in helping researchers understand bird populations and learning more about Springbrook’s feeder birds? Training sessions about Project Feederwatch and how you can help are available upon request.

Junior Leader at Summer Camp:

Our Junior Leader Program is a way for children ages 13‐17 to take a volunteer leadership role during summer camp. They will help campers find their first friend, support naturalists and see behind the scenes of summer camp! Junior Leaders help bring our camps to life! They might sing camp songs around a fire, dress in costume, play games, participate in the magic, and encourage our nervous campers. They are what helps to hook our campers into the adventure and imagination of summer camp.

If you'd like to get involved with any of these opportunities, visit FridleyMN.gov/Springbrook to fill out the application form.
