Free Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off: May 31

Products used to maintain your home, yard and vehicle or control pests can be hazardous. Drop them off at our free household hazardous waste collection event for safe disposal on Saturday, May 31 from 9 a.m. ‐ 1 p.m. at the Fridley Fire Bay (7071 University Avenue NE).
Day of Event
- Keep medications and sharps separated and accessible when you arrive.
- Securely place other items into your trunk or cargo bed.
- Bring your driver’s license or proof of residency.
- Remain in your vehicle while staff unloads your accepted items.
- Expect to wait; wait times are variable.
Accepted Items
- Antifreeze
- Batteries (out of devices)
- Bug killers/repellents
- Cell phones
- Cleaners
- Light bulbs and string lights
- Fluorescent lights
- Gasoline*
- Mercury thermometers
- Needles and syringes (empty)
- Paint
- Propane tanks and fire extinguishers (full or empty)
- Motor oil* and filters
- Vaping devices
- Weed killer
- Prescription medication (No over‐the‐counter medications)
- Powders, liquids, pet medications, creams, sprays and pills
*Gasoline and motor oil containers will not be returned.
