East River Road Closure and Detour Information

Beginning on July 22, and lasting an anticipated two weeks, a full road closure on south and north bound lanes on East River Road will occur from the intersection at Georgetown On The River Apartment Homes to I-694 W entrance. CenterPoint Energy will be upgrading the natural gas infrastructure near and across the Mississippi River.

Detours will be in place on Osborne Road and 44th Avenue that connect to University Avenue. See the road closure map for more details.

One southbound lane on East River Road is currently closed in the work area.

With construction equipment moving and working in the area, frontage road and trail users should be cautious and pay attention to flaggers near the construction.
